Elisa’s Story – Menopause

We women know that menopause is inevitable. We know there is no denying it, no escaping it, and we face it with a “what choice do I have?” attitude. But who wants to go into menopause before they have to? Not one female, I assure you.

At the age of 44, my body decided to stage a mutiny. Several things happened all at once that led me to instant menopause through not just one, but two, surgeries within six months of each other.

In addition to the lengthy healing process I had to deal with (twice) and the existence of a lovely incision, my body went into a state of shock with the absence of the usual secreted hormones. My hair grew dull, my skin lost all elasticity, I would cry at the drop of a hat, could not remember what I did two minutes ago, and worst of all, my nether regions were dry as a bone.

After not having sex because of the healing process, I was anxious to make sure everything worked like it used to. Actually, the better word is desperate. My gynecologist gave me Fosamax to help with the bone and calcium loss and Effexor to help with the bouts of crying but did not want to start me on HRT yet.

After six months of feeling like a crying, aging lump of clay at the ripe old age of 45, I decided to give Hotze a try. I, like many others, had seen their ad in Southwest Airlines and was drawn to their near homeopathic approach.

I will admit I was skeptical my first visit, caught off guard by the vitamins, yeast removal and hormone supplement options. But I figured I only had my sanity to lose and began a very basic hormone program.

A year and a half later, I feel like I am back to my usual self. I do not like the aspect of taking these pills every day for the rest of my life, but the choice between that and a return to the former crying lump of clay is a no-brainer. I feel good, I look good, my weight is ideal, my sex life is great, and although I still may not remember what I did two minutes ago, I am much closer to the original me than I was post-surgery.

I thank the folks at Hotze for meeting my skepticism with testimonials and reason, for working with my schedule, and above all, for treating me like an individual. It is clear, from the first visit that the folks at Hotze wish to set themselves apart from the cattle car mentality that is our current health care system.

Thank you, Hotze, for helping me to get my life back!
