Aboard a Southwest Airlines flight, feeling tired and a little bored, I reached down to read the magazine in the pocket in front of me. Now this was not a normal thing for me; I have never read the flight magazine before. I opened the magazine and it opened to a testimony of a woman. I didn’t know what it was for; I just started to read it. As I continued to read I thought she was talking about me.
I had married a second time at the age of 47 after being single for 18 years. I had been on the road for 15 years with work and raised two children as a single Mom. Somehow I didn’t really know what was going on with me just that this woman did. Being diagnosed with asthma a year before, having hives, gaining weight and feeling generally tired and depressed because it had been so long since I had slept or felt good, I read on. The woman told me that I would feel better in three months if I went on this program. She talked about how she had been depressed and tired, that doctors wanted to put her on anti-depressants. All of this had happened to me. Being proactive all of my life, working out and eating healthy, no drugs or smoking had been apart of my life, I would have an occasional drink. I consulted doctors, and read what I could; the doctors just ignored my whines. They did test me and found that my thyroid was low, but never put me on drugs. I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease, with no solution.
I read the whole testament and then tore the article out of the magazine. I went home and went to the website and took the tests. Bingo! I felt someone knew what was happening to me, I was validated. I called and set an appointment. The staff was friendly and spoke to me for a long time without charge. I was convinced. Now, I lived in California, I did not let that stop me from booking a flight and flying to Katy, Texas to be tested.
The doctor seemed to know as I was speaking what he needed to look for. They ran blood tests that others had not. An EKG was performed, and I was tested for osteoporosis, menopause, adrenal fatigue, thyroid and a host of other tests. I got on a flight and came home.
A few days later I got a call and was given my test results. I had no thyroid and was lacking in most hormones. Yeast count was also off the charts. I used the suggested medication and I think it was actually less than three months when I started to sleep and feel like a new person.
This was some of the best money I have ever spent investing in myself. The Hotze Health and Wellness Center saved my life.
Fast forward 6 years and I am thriving. Thank you, Dr. Hotze.
