Dear Dr. Hotze,
I’ve enjoyed listening to you on the Sam Malone radio program. I’m 63 years old, have a career I enjoy and I like good food (healthy food) and exercise. My husband and I golf 2-4 days a week pushing our golf carts – so we both get good exercise. I’m healthy and happy and take no medications other than “Move Free” for arthritis. So why should I invest in the Hotze Health program?
I came prayerfully and a little anxious. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay but panicked driving home. The cost of the medications and drugs – and the idea of the continuing monthly cost – seemed overwhelming.
Another cause for panic (rare for me) was the amount of bottles of pills I came home with. My mom was addicted to prescription drugs and would always have a shoe box full.
I dreaded telling my husband the amount I spent and the upcoming costs – even though we had discussed a ball park amount based on the great communication I had received from your staff prior to booking my initial appointment. We are so close to retirement and watching our budget carefully.
So I came home and talked through my concerns with my awesome husband (41 years of marriage). He is the one who figured out my anxiety over the large number of pill bottles. We came up with several conclusions:
1) It is much cheaper to pay for great health than it is to pay for the medical expense of illness.
2) It is much more rewarding to continue to enjoy an active lifestyle with each other, our athletic kids (40 and 38) and our 5 grandchildren.
3) We’ll quit eating out to help pay for the meds and vitamins.
I’ve eaten correctly for 2 weeks and started Nystatin today. I’m not worried about the yeast “die-off”. I’ll deal with that as it occurs knowing the outcome is well worth it. My energy and productivity have already greatly increased which is such a joy. I’ve started menu planning and cooking for the first time in years – 3 meals a day = miracle. I love the simple plan, great foods and simple menus. I don’t like to cook at all but I have enjoyed this. I’m losing weight, gave up diet cokes and find the plan easy to maintain. So…consensus from a healthy woman – I’m so glad I’m doing this!
