Dad always liked to use the phrase, “Garbage in, garbage out.”  It is kind of a “You are what you eat” saying.

Do you have high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol? Are you overweight? Underweight? Are you or any of your family members having sugar highs and lows, mood swings, fatigue, or reactive hypoglycemia? Are you a borderline adult diabetic or does your family have a history of adult diabetes?

These conditions are often caused by a high carbohydrate diet, which in turn can result in elevated insulin levels leading to obesity, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides, high blood pressure, reactive hypoglycemia, and adult onset diabetes. These conditions can often be prevented or resolved by eating a properly balanced diet.

The goals of the Hotze Optimal Eating Program are to provide increased energy levels, weight loss through decreased body fat, normal blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the normal range, fasting insulin below 10, glycohemoglobin levels below 5%, and burning stored body fat rather than incoming carbohydrates for energy.

The Hotze Optimal Eating Program is not a diet, it’s a way of life. A balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fats and oils is essential for optimal health and vitality. We believe if you desire a life of health and wellness, you must first discard your old habits and replace them with healthy lifestyle changes.
