Here’s what you need to know to get started:

1. Know your WHY! Why are you doing the Body Reboot? Write it down in several places and refer to it often. Make sure it’s specific. For example, I’m doing the Body Reboot, so I have the energy to play flag football with my son. Or, so I don’t look bloated in my little black dress (LBD). Have a tangible reminder of your WHY on the inside of your pantry door and just inside the refrigerator door.

2. Learn all you can about how yeast affects your body and how to get rid of it. Refer back to the symptoms of yeast overgrowth on the Body Reboot page HERE. Keep a journal of your symptoms, your measurements, and your journey on the Body Reboot. It is difficult to see change from day to day; it is easier to see when looking back to the beginning of your Reboot. You won’t know how far you’ve come unless you know your symptoms and measurements.

It’s important to understand that this isn’t just about weight loss. This is about feeling your best. Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels!

2. Next, you need to understand the food guidelines of the yeast-free eating program. Make sure you have a good grasp on basics in order to prepare and plan.

Foods to Eat and Avoid on Body Reboot

The Body Reboot is a structured nutritional weight loss and gut health program designed to support yeast-free eating through intentional food selection. For that reason, understanding the foods to eat and avoid on the Body Reboot is essential. Rather than focusing on calorie restriction, this approach emphasizes food quality, digestive consistency, and metabolic balance.

4. Preparation is key!

Here are some tips to help you be successful:

  • Clean out your refrigerator and pantry as best you can before you start the eating program. Make sure to clear out all leftover Christmas cookies, too! (Reference the Optimal Eating Program Cookbook)
  • Take your yeast-free grocery list on page 22 to the store and stock up on fresh vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds, beans, and organic eggs.
  • Wash and cut up your vegetables as soon as you get home from shopping, so you are more likely to snack on them or serve them at mealtime.
  • Cook in bulk. Cook enough so you have leftovers for your lunch the next day, or freeze leftovers to be used later in the week.
  • Make a meal plan each week and stick with it!
  • Keep it simple: for example:
    • Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs served with yeast-free salsa and black beans
    • Lunch: grilled lemon pepper chicken served over green salad topped with pine nuts or sliced almonds, kidney beans or chick peas, and lemon juice/olive oil dressing
    • Dinner: sautéed white fish served with steamed vegetables and side salad; snack: yeast-free hummus served with sliced bell pepper strips
  • There is strength in numbers! Ask a friend or family member to do the Body Reboot with you. Having a buddy to encourage you and hold you accountable will help you to be successful, plus chances are they will benefit from the eating plan, as well! Click HERE to join the Body Reboot.
  • Keep your chin up. Don’t get discouraged if you happen to cheat. Simply forgive yourself and get back on track at the next meal.
