It’s day 5 of the Yeast-Free with Me challenge! If you’ve joined the Yeast-Free with Me Team you should feel very proud of yourself. Do you need more yeast-free food ideas? Being creative can sometimes be the toughest challenge of yeast-free eating. But don’t worry, we’re going to keep the recipes coming through the month!
We had a yeast-free potluck luncheon for our staff yesterday here at Hotze Health & Wellness Center. Even we were amazed at how tasty eating yeast-free can be!
Here are some of our recipes. Maybe something new to make over the weekend… Enjoy!
4-5 chicken breasts (bone in or boneless)
1 large can of diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 tablespoon cumin
8 oz. water
½ onion, chopped
Place chicken in crock pot. Add onion, then remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
1 cup almond flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup water (for puffier pancakes, use sparkling water)
1.5 tablespoon oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Sweet n’ Natural
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Mix ingredients together in a medium sized bowl. Use a lightly greased non-stick skillet and cook as you would any other pancake. (Flip them when the underside is brown.) To make syrup, place 1 cup of berries of choice in blender (sweeten with Sweet n’ Natural if desired) and blend until a desired consistency. Serve warm over pancakes. Enjoy!
1 small to medium bushel of cilantro
1 large avocado
½ to 3/4 cup of red onion
2-3 roma tomatoes
2 limes
3 cups of small cooked salad shrimp (peeled, without tail, and cold)
Dice the cilantro, onion and tomatoes and place in a bowl, cut avocado into small cubes as well. Add in shrimp, lime juice, salt and ground pepper. Delicious!
One pint grape tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley or cilantro, or mixture of both
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 white onion, chopped
2 avocados chopped, sea salt to taste.
Toss together tomatoes, parsley/cilantro, oil, lemon juice, and onions. Add avocados and salt and toss gently. Chill if not serving immediately. A refreshing, healthy salad!
1 ½ C. coconut water
3 C. blended tomatoes (4-5 medium)
1 stalk celery
½ yellow onion
1 C. fresh basil
3 cloves garlic, peeled
¼ C fresh lemon juice
½ C olive oil
½ C Nama Shoya
1 t. sea salt
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Very tasty!
