While the amount of drivers under the influence of alcohol has decreased over the years, there has been an increase in the number of those driving “drugged”. According to an article in today's MSNBC entitled “Drugged Driving A Growing Threat”, if you're driving on an American road one in six cars will be under the influence of an illicit or licit drug. This includes prescription drugs such as Xanax which lists drowsiness as a common side effect. Is it possible that the reason that this on the rise is because we have conditioned our society to look to a pill for answers to all life's problems? It's time we started just saying no to drugs again.
