One of the most debilitating symptoms of hypothyroidism, or low thyroid function, is extreme fatigue. Beware that conventional doctors use a single blood test, the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), to diagnose hypothyroidism, which can often fail the patient. The lab range for the TSH blood test is so wide that it encompasses the majority of people. You can fall “within the normal range” and still have hypothyroidism.
It is important to find a doctor who listens and evaluates you according to your symptoms, as well.
