No two women are the same and, as such, menopause symptoms can vary greatly between individuals. For some women, menopause leads to few disruptions in their daily lives, whereas for others it can be a debilitating experience. Along with perimenopause and post menopause, menopausal symptoms can consume up to half of a woman’s life. Caused by natural decreases in sex hormones, menopause, especially when combined with artificially high estrogen levels in your everyday environment, can lead to a hormonal imbalance. Your body reacts to this hormonal imbalance through a variety of symptoms, many of which can severely impact your quality of life and even your health.
Symptoms of Menopause
As mentioned, the actual symptoms of menopause will depend on the individual. Some of the more common symptoms, however, include hot flashes, migraines, fatigue, weight gain, depression, night sweats, brain fog, loss of libido, anxiety, osteoporosis and insomnia. The intensity of these symptoms will also depend on each individual woman’s unique experience.
Although some of these symptoms may decrease during post menopause, postmenopausal symptoms, including osteoporosis and heart disease, can actually increase and lead to serious long-term health risks.
Likewise, perimenopause, during which the body is transitioning to menopause, can result in many of the same symptoms as menopause. Perimenopause can also lead to menstrual irregularity, decreasing fertility, mood changes, and other disruptive symptoms. These changes can begin at different ages for different women. Although many women first experience perimenopause and menopausal symptoms in their mid-forties, for some women symptoms can begin much earlier, such as in their mid-thirties.
Treatment of Menopause Symptoms
Traditional medicine often tries to manage menopausal symptoms by simply prescribing drugs or surgical procedures that address only the symptoms. If you are suffering from insomnia due to menopause then your physician may prescribe you sleeping medication, for example. Prescription drugs, however, come with serious side effects and, furthermore, treating only the symptoms of menopause fails to address the hormonal imbalance that is the root cause of menopausal symptoms.
A more natural approach to treating menopause is to correct this hormonal imbalance rather than simply prescribing drugs and surgeries that may do you more harm than good. Bioidentical hormone treatment tackles the problem of hormonal imbalance in a way that is both natural and safe. This treatment option utilizes bioidentical hormones that, as their name suggests, mimic the hormones, such as progesterone and estrogen, which your body produces naturally. Because every woman has an optimum hormone level, bioidentical hormone treatment treats every patient individually. Rather than seek a “one-size-fits-all” solution, the treatment offered by Hotze Health & Wellness Center aims to restore your unique optimum hormone levels through bioidentical hormone treatment.
At Hotze Health & Wellness Center, we help women regain their lives by addressing the underlying causes of menopausal symptoms rather than just treating the symptoms themselves. Instead of treating you as though you are the same as any other patient, we focus on an individualized approach that restores your body’s unique hormone levels. Our holistic approach to medicine is safe and natural, providing the peace of mind and assurance you need throughout your treatment. By contacting Hotze Health & Wellness Center today, we can help you see how bioidentical hormone treatment could be the first step to overcoming menopausal symptoms and taking back your life.
